Quick Review: Trilogy Rosehip Oil

Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil

I was a bit apprehensive when I decided to make the move from my trusted hydraluron serum to this little number from Trilogy having never used a facial oil before. I was concerned that it would make even my dry skin greasy but, knowing that it is apparently the secret to Kate Middleton’s stunning complexion, I decided to take a punt. Safe to say I was very pleasantly surprised. I have been using this gem morning and night under my usual moisturisers (or if I’m having a make-up free day sometimes on its own) and it has left my skin supple and hydrated. With no real scent either I think that there is little to dislike about this product and the benefits are plentiful. It makes my skin feel wonderful and that I’m giving it the hydration that it really needs through completely natural means.

As a dry skin sufferer it is the perfect accompaniment to my everyday skincare routine.

Little Body Shop Haul

Over the last month or so I seem to have had an influx of Body Shop products in my daily routine, but hey I’m definitely not complaining!

Pomegranate Cream Cleanser

This cream cleanser is an absolute delight. I actually hadn’t realised it was meant as an anti-aging product, I bought it purely because I loved the idea of pomegranate with which I wasn’t disappointed as it smells divine, but it has been wonderfully gentle on my skin; what more could I ask for?

Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder

I’d seen so many blog posts and vlogs (especially Estée from Essie Button) raving about this bronzer that when I saw it I just had to treat myself to it. Apart from the very pleasing aesthetics, I really have been enjoying this bronzer. It simply adds a little bit of colour (which I greatly need)- splendid!

Again I’d heard so much about this little number. Initially I wasn’t amazed but I’d had such high expectations that I think I had to readjust what I thought it would do and now I’m pretty happy with it. The pores are there you are just less inclined to see them. As for the texture it is a slightly peculiar poweredy gel but I quite like it. All in all, if you don’t get too sucked into the hype this is a lovely little thing.

Eyeliner in Purple

I have been wearing my brown eyeliner far more than my black recently for a softer day look, however I thought that purple may be a nice change. It’s a good eyeliner, highly pigmented and long lasting although I don’t think that it’s anything to write home about.

 Chamomile Cleansing Oil

For a person who suffers from dry skin this is great; it removes my make up perfectly and nourishes my skin at the same time. It has really helped hydrate my skin and the chamomile aspect is gorgeous- a stunner!

A Little Boots Haul

Hello darlings,

A few weeks ago I went to Boots and picked up a few gems that I thought I’d share with you…

Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub

First and foremost this scrub smells incredible! My best description is that it’s like golden syrup porridge because of its sweet, oaty smell. The scrub itself is nice, it feels quite sandy and is a relatively strong exfoliant. All in all, lovely!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

I’d never worn foundation before I picked this one up. I can’t say after having used it that wearing foundation everyday is my thing but for special occasions it’ll be what I’ll be reaching for. I think it gives good coverage and definitely brightens my face up.

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Shadow Stick in Taupe and Deep Amethyst

These eye shadows were a complete impulse buy but I really like them. I featured the bronze version in my Friday Favourites a few of weeks ago and have been using it a lot since then. The blue has admittedly been used a little less, but it has been used all the same. Such a bold colour is very out of my comfort zone so I think it’ll take me a little longer to get used to wearing it. All things considered however I really like them both; for a super fast make up look these are perfect.

Yes to Grapefruit Dark Circle Correcting Eye Cream for Uneven Skin Tone

Once again, like the foundation, I’d never used an eye cream before this one. I have very dry skin and it has been a lovely moisturiser but as for the dark circle correcting feature I can’t say I’ve noticed any improvements- although granted mine are quite a lot to tackle. I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing this product but it’s definitely persuaded me that an eye cream is an important step in my skin care regime that I had previously been missing out.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water | Botanics Rosewater Toning Spritz

I’d spied this Garnier micellar water in lots of skin care blog posts and YouTube videos so when I decided to revamp my skincare routine, I knew that this was what I wanted to try. And I’m very thankful that I did. The only downside to it is that I think it struggles a bit to remove my waterproof mascara but apart from that I love it. It removes makeup and general dirt very well, leaving my skin feeling fresh. As for the Rose water toner, this little thing is perfection in a bottle. I think that it is a great toner as it has hands down improved my pores and it smells amazing too- and I don’t generally love rose scents bar the real thing. I will most definitely be repurchasing both of these little beauties.
