Here are a few things that I have been loving recently…
1. Alexander McQueen Dress
This dress may be as fussy as it comes but that’s what I love. It so pretty and the fact that it’s so over the top just means that wearing this you’ll always stand out.
2. Zara Cape
I have probably been watching too much of Arabella Golby’s YouTube videos but I have been lusting over so many capes recently and this is definitely my favourite, just look at that furry hood!
3. Bow Clip
This is my current favourite hair accessory. It’s so pretty and is such an easy way of smartening up any look.
4. Peaky Blinders
Ah blimey this is one of my favourite hours of the week at the moment! It’s so dramatic, cinematically pleasing and stylish. Definitely one of the best tv programmes on now.
5. Chanel Rouge Coco Shine
For my birthday I received this lovely lipstick in the colour mutine and well it’s a delightful little number. I’ve been wearing it most days since.
Today I thought that I’d share with you some of the purchases that I’ve made in the past couple of months…
I adore the colour of this dress from ASOS and, although the cut may seem a little reserved, it is really flattering. It’s just a shame it creases so very easily!
Ever since buying this hoodie from ASOS I haven’t stopped wearing it; it’s simplicity means it really does go with everything. It is perfect for an girl who’s stuck in sweats all of the time like me!
I think that this swimsuit from ASOS is just stunning and it fits perfectly- pretty darn wonderful!
I featured these shoes from Zara in one of my ‘Shoe of the Week’ posts, raving about their beauty, so when they came into the sale I had to pick up a pair.
I picked this up on a whim but I’m awfully pleased that I did. It smells like a musty perfume and has a bit of a shimmer to it which I really like.
This Soap & Glory scrub is absolutely delightful, a lovely scrub and a gorgeous scent. And, even though as a pair the two products aren’t from the same range, they work perfectly together as the scrub gives the body wash the citrusy lift that I think it needs.
Hello my lovelies! I hope that your weekend is going swimmingly. Here we have that peculiar weather where it looks cloudy but is actually rather warm outside. It got me to thinking about the ‘perfect British summer dress’ which admittedly is a difficult task because it can fluctuate so greatly here in good old Blighty. So in the end I settled on this dress by Derek Lam via Matches…
I think that it is perfect because it will go with a blazer and boots or a cardigan with ballet flats or even flip flops- it really covers all bases!

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by Ted Baker to choose my 3 favourite pieces from their ss13 collection for their current competition. And it was darn difficult! There were so many beautiful pieces; after quite a bit of toing and froing for ages I finally settled on these little loviles….
Now usually orange isn’t my kind of colour but this little one may have converted me. I think that it’s the perfect summer accessory to add a pop of colour to any outfit and I think that it really helps to pull this outfit together.
This outfit reminds me slightly of something the DoC Kate Middleton may wear to Wimbledon this summer but for the rest of us I think that this outfit would be perfect for a summer wedding.
You can find the entire Ted Baker Spring/Summer collection here.
I hope that you have had a wonderful weekend. Sorry I was MIA from blogging last week and I’m afraid you may just have to bear with me for a couple more weeks until the end of my exams and then, hopefully, I’ll be back to my normal blogging self.
Anyway, this week I decided to go for this beautiful pair of shoes from H&M as my ‘Shoe of the Week’…
I think that they’re a great colour for spring and will keep your feet nice and cool. I’d wear them with this super sweet dress from Oasis (via ASOS) and this chic American Apparel (via ASOS also) clutch for a bright summery look-
Black and white is such a classic look, think Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s with the black dress and pearls. And by Jove it’s taking over this season. So I’ve put together a day and night look inspired by this chic colour combination…
I very rarely can afford designer pieces. But I thought I’d do a monthly post on what my converted luxe item of the month is. This month it is an electric blue dress from Hobbs:
Hobbs Harpur Dress £159.00
I love this dress because it’s such a gorgeous colour and so beautifully structured. I chose this dress this month because the lovely DoC Kate Middleton recently wore an electric blue Stella McCartney dress to the National Portrait Gallery London and looked stunning. This dress is just so simple yet such a statement.
White is the key colour of the season and with Wimbledon, white is the hottest colour to be seen in right now! I love this little number from River island (but I actually found it on ASOS). The Broderie Anglaise cutwork design is very versatile. It could be teamed with a leather jacket to harden the look up a bit but personally I’d keep it sweet and wear it with nude heels, either way it’s the perfect summer piece.
